about Karen
With a teaching career of more than two decades across Primary and Secondary, Karen brings a wealth of experience, and a remarkable ability to simply get the child in front of her.
Creative, intuitive and endlessly resourceful, Karen has a knack for finding a way into learning when more conventional approaches haven’t quite worked. Her lessons are full of quirky ideas, memorable resources and humour that help learning stick, always shaped around the individual student.
Karen also leads our tutor training, sharing her experience and creative teaching approaches across the Emerson team. We’re still trying to persuade her to put all those ideas into a book.
