Euan

Hi, I’m Euan, a Mechanical Engineering graduate, former Army Reserve Officer, and experienced private tutor specialising in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at GCSE, IGCSE and A Level.

Over the past few years, I have built a successful tutoring practice, teaching more than 20 lessons each week and helping students improve not only their grades, but also their confidence and enjoyment of learning. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement and explanations that work for them.

My background in engineering has given me a strong understanding of STEM subjects and a passion for problem-solving. I enjoy taking complicated ideas and breaking them down into clear, simple steps, helping students develop a deeper understanding rather than just memorising information for exams.

Teaching has always been a major part of my career. As an Army Reserve Officer, I completed formal instructor training and regularly taught groups of up to 30 students, learning how to explain ideas clearly, plan effective lessons and adapt my approach for different learning styles, including students with ADHD.

In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they are aiming for top grades, catching up on missed topics, preparing for exams or simply looking to feel more confident in Maths and Science.

My goal is not just to help students achieve better results, but to help them become independent learners who understand the subject and believe in their own ability to succeed. I look forward to working with you!
