Secondary

Secondary, GCSE and A-level

As students move through secondary school the demands increase, and sometimes their grades don’t reflect what they actually know. We find the gaps, strengthen understanding and teach the exam technique that turns knowledge into marks.

gaps

Finding the gaps

Our tutors combine strong subject knowledge with focused, structured teaching. We identify gaps, strengthen understanding and develop the skills students need to work more and more independently, from Key Stage 3 through GCSE and A-level.

technique

Exam technique

As exams approach, we focus closely on technique: understanding what questions are really asking, recognising where marks are being gained or lost, and learning how to show knowledge effectively.

Sometimes progress isn’t about knowing more. It’s about learning how to make what you already know count.

past papers

Homework that earns its place

We may set past papers or individual questions to complete independently, sometimes under timed conditions, and then use the lesson to explore the answers, find where marks are being lost and work out how to gain them next time. Homework isn’t about doing more for the sake of it. It’s about making the work count.

Questions parents ask

Which year groups do you teach at secondary?

Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level. Tell us the subject and exam board when you get in touch and we will match a tutor with the right subject knowledge.

Can you help with exam technique as well as content?

Yes. As exams approach we work closely on what questions are really asking and where marks are gained or lost, using past papers and timed practice where it helps.
