about Natalie
Hi, I’m Natalie. I am a dedicated English teacher and tutor with over 13 years of experience across comprehensive schools and private tuition in Havering and Essex. I hold a degree in Language in Education from an East London University and qualified through the Graduate Teacher Training Programme in Havering. Throughout my career, I have held significant leadership roles, including serving as a Head of English, a Literacy Lead and a Reading Programme Director.
I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature across all major exam boards. My expertise also extends to exam assessment, as I regularly mark for the AQA exam board during the summer. I have extensive experience supporting home-schooled students and learners with diverse needs, particularly those with SEND and Dyslexia. To support my students even further, I am currently training to qualify as a registered Dyslexia Assessor.
I truly believe that tutoring is a powerful way to boost student confidence, provide personalised learning and act as a meaningful mentor. Once a student feels secure enough to discuss their individual needs and challenges, anything is possible.
