Saman

Hello, I’m Saman, an experienced Primary School teacher with almost 20 years of teaching experience within the London Borough of Havering. Throughout my career, I have taught across all Primary year groups and ages, and I am currently teaching in Year 5, with previous experience leading a Year 1 team within a large Primary School setting.

I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, understood and encouraged, and I pride myself on building warm, positive relationships with both children and parents.

I have experience supporting pupils across the Primary age range, including children with SEND, ADHD, ASD and English as an Additional Language. I also have strong experience teaching phonics through a range of phonics schemes, supporting early reading and writing development, SATs preparation, and helping children who may need additional support to achieve their potential.

In addition to Primary education, I am also able to support Secondary school pupils who may be struggling with the demands of the English curriculum, including both English Language and English Literature.

My teaching style is calm, patient and nurturing whilst maintaining high expectations for every child. I tailor sessions carefully to each pupil’s individual needs, helping to build both academic progress and self-confidence in a supportive environment. Teaching is truly my vocation, and I feel privileged to play a part in helping children grow not only academically, but also in confidence and self-belief.
